How CHP works

Alignment before acquisition.

CHP chooses projects for their purpose, their potential, and the quality of the publishing relationship we believe we can build with the author.

01

The work matters

We look for expertise, urgency, and a clear reason for the book to exist. A promising concept or manuscript is important—but it is only one part of the decision.

02

The relationship fits

We consider the author’s goals, the intended audience, and whether CHP is the right publishing partner for both the person and the project.

From interest to publication

A conversation-led process

Discover

Most projects begin by invitation. We also review concise Project Introductions.

Discuss

When a project interests us, we reach out to understand the author, audience, and goals.

Develop

Editorial direction, production, distribution, and expectations are shaped together.

Publish

Selected works are brought to readers with care, focus, and long-term intention.

Selective by design

CHP accepts Project Introductions from any author, but we contact only those whose work strongly interests us. Please do not send a manuscript or upload files.
